Yesterday, Senator John McCain, whose hypocrisy, waffling, flip-floppery and move away from being an independent thinker to a cowed tool of the Bushocracy has seen his bid for the Presidency falter, made a statement concerning Global Climate Change.

From today's New York Daily News - Without exactly being like Mike, Sen. John McCain yesterday join-ed Mayor Bloomberg in calling global warming a reality to be dealt with by weaning the U.S. off Mideast oil.
"The world is already feeling the powerful effects of global warming," McCain said in calling for caps on carbon emissions, and "the problem isn't some Hollywood invention."

I especially like the poster who scolds McCain for not realizing that climate change has been occurring for "hundreds of millions of years" - That's rich on a site where more than half the posters believe the Earth is only 6,000 years old and man walked with the dinosaurs.

Of course that argument (made often by GCC opponents) never takes into account that we now have 6 billion people on Earth and climate change could be bad for about 3 billion of them, whatever the cause.
