What does desperation sound like? What does it smell and feel like? It sounds, smells and feels like this.

Bush's New Tack Steers Clear of 'Stay the Course'

President Bush and his aides are annoyed that people keep misinterpreting his Iraq policy as "stay the course." A complete distortion, they say. "That is not a stay-the-course policy,"

Read the whole sordid, twisted, Orwellian story here in the Washington Post.

In summary, they are saying they NEVER said "Stay the Course" and that people were distorting their message. Unless you have been under a rock for the last two years, you know that every other sentence out of Bush's mouth is "STAY THE COURSE" and that anyone who disagreed was a "CUT AND RUN TRAITOR."

And now, in the ultimate "FLIP FLOP" they are reversing on Stay the Course because they realize that 90% of sane Americans don't believe their insane bullshit anymore.

All talk about, "the Republicans have screwed up but I am not sure what the Democratic vision or message is" is now officially over. You need only know that Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Rice, the Republican House and Senate have failed so completely that NOTHING could be worse. Things can only stay the same or get better. Keeping these people in power will keep things the same.

Some suggestions for a new slogan to replace "STAY THE COURSE"

"JUST DO IT!"

"IMPOSING FREEDOM. ONE IRAQI AT A TIME"

"DUCK AN COVER"

"I'M LOVIN IT"

"ITS CLINTON'S FAULT"

"BAN GAY MARRIAGE"

"STAY AND PRAY"

"FREEDOM IS ON THE MARCH" (oh wait they have actually used this one)

"FOLEY NEVER TOUCHED THE BOY"

"THE DEMOCRATS WORSHIP SATAN"
