I'd like to welcome some new additions to the SLAA blogroll.

Lisa's Journal, Old Enough to Moan, TrinaMick, The "new" Mr. Underhill

Check them all out.

Two interesting boat related stories today.

The last American survivor of the Titanic, with memories of the fateful day, died at 99 yesterday. She was five years old on the day of the disaster. There are a couple of English survivors who are still alive they but were infants and have no memory of the day.

A New York man set off from Goree Island in Africa to cross the Atlantic in a row boat to raise awareness about AIDS in Africa. He was expecting to reach the Brooklyn Bridge in October. He sank only hours after setting off and had to be resuced by the Senegalese Navy.
