So the blizzard of '06 has arrived. There is more than a foot of snow on the ground in NYC at 12:27 p.m. and it sis still coming down hard. I am headed to the theater to see "Pajama Game" with Harry Connick, Michael McKean and Kelli O'Hara; and to play in the snow.

I shall return with some nice NYC in the snow pics.

If you are snowed in and looking for something to do, here are my suggestions for ten books that will enrich your life and must be read. In no particular order.

-David Copperfield - Charles Dickens
-War and Peace - Lev Tolstoy
-From Beirut to Jerusalem - Thomas Friedman
-Crime and Punishment - Fyodor Dostoyevesky
-Bleak House - Charles Dickens
-The Hero with a Thousand Faces/The Power of Myth - Joseph Campbell
-1984 - George Orwell
-The Great Gatsby - F. Scott Fitzgerald
-For Whom the bell Tolls - Hemingway
-Team of Rival: The Political Genius of Abraham Lincoln - Doris Kearns Goodwin
BONUS: Thing Fall Apart - Achebe Chinua

Feel free to discuss any of these with me in the comments section if you have read them and they had an impact on you the way they have on me.
