The information divide in the US (between those who have done their research and have seen the folly in the Bush adminstration's handling of foreign policy, and those who have not) is one of the key points that make me believe things are going to get much, much worse for Americans and the world before they get better.

This letter was taken from today's NY Post (a 6th grade level conservative newspaper).

"It has been known for quite some time that the funding for most of these terrorists attacks comes from Saudi Arabia. The United States government has to put pressure on the Saudis to desist in financing these terrorist acts.

Without funding, it would be impossible for terrorists to carry out their savagery. Saudi Arabia is not our ally."

Well Chuck, you win today's award for being clueless.

It is the Bush policy of oil first combined with the regressive energy policy in US history that is keeping us dependent on Saudi oil. All of the policies of the Bush/Cheney/Haliburton/Mobil/Exxon interests have insured that we will be "giving" billions upon billions to the Saudis for decades to come.

George Bush Sr. was EATING DINNER WITH A SAUDI MINSITER THE NIGHT BEFORE 9/11.

We have military bases in Saudi Arabia (why Bin Laden turned on us to begin with).

We are the largest consumers of oil (Saudi oil) in the world.

We have protected and propped up the Saudi monarchy/theocracy for decades.

Your best chance for the US to stop funding and supporting the Saudis passed on election day. You voted Bush back in and STRENGTHENED the toes between the US and Saudi Arabia.

But I know Cletus, you are worried about gays and the bible and your $300 tax refund. Much more important.

Chuck Eckstein, you are part of the cancer ( a cancer called ignorance) that is detroying this country.
