Happy Birthday Lou Reed. Thank you for the inspiration, joy, smiles, reflection and common ground.

You made me forget myself.
I thought I was someone else,
Someone good.

Oh it's such a perfect day,
I'm glad I spent it with you.
Oh such a perfect day,
You just keep me hanging on,
You just keep me hanging on.

You're going to reap just what you sow,
You're going to reap just what you sow,
You're going to reap just what you sow,
You're going to reap just what you sow...

And he said to me:

Don't think about or compare what you read, just read, enjoy the experience and be passionate about it.

Don't ever feel like you don't know enough about a subject to discuss it or ask questions about it. We all start from zero on any given subject and work our way up.

Don't ever let your knowledge of a subject allow you to speak and act in a way that would discourage others from learning. Also, do not use your knowledge as extensions of ego, self-importance or in a pretentious way. Your knowledge is a gift, spread it wisely.

Remember that everything you can see, touch, feel, smell, hear and experience has an equal opposite of no less importance.
